How this site works

How this site works.
Who we are, who gets your request and who pays.

This site explains seawall work and passes your request to a local marine contractor. It builds nothing, and you choose who you hire.

What this site is and is not

Gulf Shores Seawall is a planning and referral service. In plain terms, it explains permits, costs and storm risk. Then it passes your request to a contractor. It runs independently of any one contractor.

It is not a construction company, an engineering firm, a law firm or an insurance agent. Nothing here is legal, engineering or insurance advice. Read more on the about page.

Your request goes to a local marine contractor

When you send a request, it is shared with a local marine contractor, who may call or text you. That is the only reason the form exists.

You never have to hire the contractor who calls. You can say no, ask for a written bid and talk to others.

The site may be paid by the contractor

The contractor who receives requests may pay the site. That payment does not change the facts, permit steps or cost ranges on these pages, which cite public sources.

The site does not promise a price, a date or a result.

You decide who does the work

You choose and hire any professional on your own, under your own written contract. Compare bids, ask for a license number and check it with the state. The contractor check guide shows how.

Questions about a request can go through the contact page. Privacy details are on the privacy page.
